What we do

Our Work & Programs

Our programs focus on humane community cat management, caregiver support, and public education. Everything we do is grounded in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and respect for both cats and people.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

TNR is our core program. We respond to requests from residents who see unowned cats in their neighborhoods. Through coordinated trapping and veterinary care, we humanely reduce the number of cats on the streets.

✅ Loan and instruction on using humane traps safely.

✅ Scheduling of spay/neuter and vaccination appointments.

✅ Ear-tipping for clear identification of sterilized cats.

✅ Guidance on safe recovery and return to their outdoor home.

📌

When should you contact us?

✅ You see multiple unowned cats regularly in the same area.

✅ You have found kittens outdoors and are unsure what to do.

✅ Neighbors are concerned about noise, odor, or growing numbers of cats.

✅ You are feeding cats and want to prevent more litters.

Common myths & facts

Myth: “If we remove the cats, the problem is solved.”
Fact: New unneutered cats usually move in — this is the “vacuum effect”.

Myth: “TNR just keeps cats outside.”
Fact: TNR stops breeding, improves health, and reduces nuisance behaviors.

Myth: “There’s nothing we can do.”
Fact: A small group of committed neighbors can stabilize a colony with support.

We believe that when people understand how TNR works, they are more likely to support humane solutions. That’s why outreach is a key part of our work.

✅ Presentations for neighborhood associations, schools, and civic groups.

✅ Printed and digital materials explaining TNR and community cats.

✅Support for local leaders considering humane cat policies.

Kittens & friendly cats

What about adoptable cats?

While our primary focus is on TNR for outdoor cats, we recognize that some cats we encounter are friendly or that young kittens may be able to thrive indoors.

Whenever possible, we work with rescue and shelter partners to explore adoption options for socialized cats and kittens. Availability depends on space and resources.
