Our Mission
The organization exists to reduce the number of unowned, free-roaming cats in our community using only humane methods, with a focus on Trap‑Neuter‑Return (TNR) as the most effective long‑term solution. It is committed to treating every cat with dignity while helping both animals and neighborhoods live together safely and peacefully
Our vision
A community where every cat is safe and cared for, no kitten is born unwanted, and humane solutions for outdoor cats are widely understood and embraced.
📖
Our story
Community Cats Initiative began with a simple truth: ignoring outdoor cats or removing them does not solve the problem. We saw caregivers feeding hungry cats, neighbors feeling overwhelmed by kittens, and shelters stretched beyond capacity.
TNR provided a proven, humane path forward. From our first small colony to larger neighborhood projects, we have seen how spay/neuter, vaccines, and education can turn chaos into stability.
As we grow, we are building partnerships and training more volunteers so that humane community cat management becomes the norm — not the exception.
